I finished my Dear Jane quilt top

Today I put the final border on my Dear Jane.

On to the quilting. I have decided to omit the scalloped border for a couple of reasons. First, to simplify the finishing of the quilt; and second, I convinced myself that it didn’t need it. I plan to machine quilt in-the-ditch around each block and then add hand quilting inside the blocks. Hopefully I can complete it in time for the DVQ show in September. I’ve decided that finishing this project is a little like weaning your baby – – you’re anxious to finish with the breastfeeding, and sad that it’s over.
